Danube InGrid is a government specializing in Energy Storage, Other.
Danube InGrid is a Project of Common Interest (PCI) designated by the European Commission in the smart grid category. The project aims to strengthen interaction and integration between Slovak and Hungarian electricity markets through smart grid technologies. It is divided into two waves: the first wave focuses on infrastructure development including substations (such as the 400/110/22 kV Vajnory substation in Bratislava), while the second wave addresses smart grid applications, smart substations, data exchanges, and interactions between transmission and distribution system operators. The primary objective is to develop intelligent electricity infrastructure in the Central and Eastern European region to integrate larger volumes of renewable energy generators into the distribution grid while maintaining high quality and security of supply for consumers in Western Slovakia and Northwestern Hungary.
