About
Founded in 2023, Daures Green Hydrogen Village is a renewable energy company headquartered in Windhoek, Namibia specializing in Hydrogen.
Daures Green Hydrogen Village is Africa's first net zero village located in Namibia's Daures Constituency in the Erongo region. The project encompasses 15,000 hectares of land and aims to develop integrated green hydrogen and green ammonia production facilities powered by renewable energy (6-7 GW wind and solar). The pilot phase, launching in Q3 2024, will produce 18 tons of green hydrogen and 100 tons of green ammonia annually. The full-scale facility is designed to produce over 1 million tons of green ammonia per year. The project includes green agriculture, community training, and local employment, targeting over 250 marginalised youth in green skills development. It operates in partnership with international engineering firms and research institutions.
