About

Founded in 2023, DEDALUS is a ngo specializing in Energy Storage.

DEDALUS is an EU-funded project launched in June 2023 with a consortium of 23 partners from 9 countries. It designs, develops, and demonstrates a social, technological, and business framework for residential demand response across buildings and districts. The project integrates cutting-edge ICT technologies with social and behavioral dimensions, sharing-economy approaches, and value-stacking governance models. It operates seven pilots across Austria, Denmark, Greece, Italy, Romania, and Spain, testing demand response solutions in diverse contexts including social housing, student housing, senior living, and energy communities. Key achievements include pushing 19 energy management technologies to TRL 6-7 readiness levels, achieving energy efficiency improvements ranging from 21-38% across pilots, and reducing carbon emissions by 16-56% depending on the location. The project emphasizes human-in-the-loop approaches, accessibility for vulnerable populations, and long-term scalability of residential flexibility services.
