DigitalTF provides a 21st-century alternative to ripple control using low-frequency power line communication (150 or 180Hz subharmonics) for managing low voltage grid congestion caused by renewable energy sources and electric vehicles. The system transmits commands via a DIN-rail mounted transmitter and snap-on current transformer coupler, with reception integrated into EV charger and PV inverter firmware. It operates independently of IoT and internet providers, requiring no ICT personnel for installation. The technology uses phase-synchronous subharmonic Manchester bit coding with FEC error detection/correction, achieving 10x the performance of ripple control at 10% of the cost. DigitalTF has been deployed with 2000 transmitters and 50000 receivers in lighting applications.
