Founded in 2018, East African Centre of Excellence for Renewable Energy and Efficiency is a non-profit headquartered in Kampala, Uganda specializing in Solar, Wind, Hydro.
EACREEE is a non-profit regional centre of excellence established to promote renewable energy and energy efficiency across the East African Community. Mandated by the EAC Council of Ministers, it operates across eight partner states. The organisation works through policy development, capacity building, knowledge management, awareness raising, and business promotion to create an enabling environment for renewable energy and energy efficiency markets. It addresses barriers to sustainable energy deployment and promotes competitive energy markets and economies of scale in the region.
