Founded in 2023, Eekerpolder is a co-op headquartered in Scheemda, Netherlands specializing in Solar.

Coöperatie Eekerpolder is a cooperative established to enable local residents of Midden-Groningen and Oldambt to have ownership and financial participation in the development and operation of Zonnepark Eekerpolder. The solar park, located between Scheemda, Meeden, and Zuidbroek, will feature over 330,000 solar panels and deliver approximately 170 MW of electricity annually. The project prioritizes ecological integration with 25% of the site dedicated to landscape management, including wetlands, wildlife corridors, and recreational pathways. Construction began in early 2025, with operations expected to commence in 2027. The cooperative manages revenues through a steward system and transparent annual budgets, distributing funds to local community initiatives and projects.
