Enercoop is a cooperative electricity supplier and renewable energy producer operating throughout France since 2005. The network comprises 13 regional cooperatives working directly with citizens, municipalities, and professionals to develop ethical, citizen-driven renewable energy production. Enercoop sources electricity from multiple renewable sources including solar, wind, hydroelectric, and biomass from over 524 producers across France. The cooperative operates its own portfolio of solar and wind projects while offering energy supply services, consulting, training, and energy efficiency programs. Enercoop's governance is based on cooperative principles with limited profitability, emphasizing local economic development and democratic decision-making. The organization provides formation and consulting services through certified Qualiopi training programs, including modules on renewable energy development, energy efficiency, agrivoltaics, and shared governance. Enercoop also supports collective self-consumption projects and assists municipalities and private actors in developing renewable energy installations on degraded land.
