energiaTa was founded on February 16, 2016, by Mihai and Claudiu to address the challenges facing small-scale electricity producers (prosumers) in Romania. The organization emerged from the EFdeN team's participation in Solar Decathlon competitions starting in 2012. The team has since grown to include engineers Eduard, Dalia, and Victor, contributing expertise in sustainable building and solar energy systems. energiaTa's mission is to inform and raise awareness among Romanian prosumers about maximizing solar energy benefits and integrating sustainability principles into households. The organization has published the Ghidul Prosumatorului Sustenabil (Sustainable Prosumer Guide) to provide accessible technical, bureaucratic, and financial information. The team has contributed to the development of Romania's prosumer legislation and represents Romania in the World Energy Council.
