Energiequelle GmbH is a privately-held renewable energy developer and operator founded in 1997 by Doreen and Michael Raschemann and Joachim Uecker. The company specializes in planning, building, and operating wind energy plants, photovoltaic systems, biomass facilities, substations, and battery storage solutions. With over 450 expert staff across approximately 20 locations in Europe and South Africa, Energiequelle has developed and operates more than 800 plants with a combined installed capacity exceeding 1.7 GW. The company is recognized for innovative projects including Feldheim, Germany's first fully energy-independent village powered by renewables. Notable achievements include developing the world's most powerful wind turbine at the time (Enercon E-126, 7.5 MW), operating the Feldheim 10 MW lithium-ion battery storage facility, and establishing the Regional Controlled Power Plant. Energiequelle holds multiple certifications including ISO/IEC 27001:2022, CrefoZert creditworthiness certification, and EMAS environmental certification.
