About
Founded in 2016, Energies-aganagues is a co-op headquartered in Saint-Quirc, France specializing in Wind.
Energies-aganagues is a citizen-driven renewable energy cooperative established through a partnership between the local association Les Energies dAganaguès (founded 2016) and energy organizations including Energie Partagée Investissement and Enercoop Midi-Pyrénées. The cooperative (Aganaguès, registered RCS Foix 850 144 213) was formally created in April 2019 with 10 citizen shareholders from the local territory. The project involves developing a wind farm in Cintegabelle with initially planned 4-5 wind turbines, later refined to a single turbine with a Nordex N117 model at 3.6-3.675 MW capacity. The project is expected to generate 6375-7400 MWh annually, equivalent to the consumption of approximately 3000 inhabitants. The initiative has received recognition including the 2018 Energies Citoyennes et Coopératives award from Région Occitanie and ADEME. The project has undergone extensive administrative procedures and court review, with a complementary prefectural order issued on 25 March 2026 to modify prescriptions for the wind farm.
