About
EUCANWin is a ngo headquartered in Sweden specializing in Biomass, Biogas.
EUCANWin is an EU-Canada research cooperation action under Horizon 2020 aimed at developing a climate-positive and cost-efficient biomass-to-biopower supply chain for forest-based biomass. The project focuses on three key objectives: increasing biomass supply chain viability through artificial intelligence, improving electrical efficiency of combined heat and power via Biomass-fired Top Cycle technology, and achieving negative carbon emissions. Key deliverables include a prototype Forest Biomass Atlas for Canada, validation of the Biomass-fired Top Cycle concept integrating gasification with steam-injected gas turbines, development of an On-Board Intelligent Biomass Analyser with AI capabilities, and quantification of CO2 capture costs. The consortium includes organizations from Canada and eight EU Member States, coordinated by RISE Research Institutes of Sweden.
