Evida is Denmark's primary gas distribution utility with 40 years of experience establishing, developing, and operating safe and efficient gas networks. The company operates approximately 18,000 km of gas infrastructure serving most of Denmark. Evida is actively supporting the green energy transition by: integrating biogas into the network (which comprised approximately 40% of consumption in 2024, avoiding 1.47 million tonnes of CO2 annually); developing hydrogen distribution infrastructure in collaboration with partners like Greenlab Skive, Vestjyllands Andel, and Green Hydrogen Systems; and planning CO2 transport infrastructure for carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) applications. Evida has established a hydrogen test facility in Skive to gain practical experience with hydrogen pipeline distribution and handling. The company is strategically positioned to build Denmark's future hydrogen and CO2 distribution networks, leveraging existing expertise and infrastructure. Evida operates 24/7 monitoring of its gas system and collaborates with Energinet and government authorities on energy infrastructure planning and regulatory development.
