EXCELLEND ERA Chair is a renewable energy company headquartered in Agia Paraskevi, Greece specializing in Solar, Hydrogen, Energy Storage.
EXCELLEND is a Horizon Europe ERA Chair project launched on 1 February 2025 with a five-year duration. It aims to establish a Centre of Excellence in sustainable energy solutions at NCSR Demokritos in Greece, bringing together the institute's dispersed energy-related research activities into an integrated hub. Research groups cover solar energy applications and thermal storage, energy conversion processes, thermal processes and integrated energy systems, heat pumps and refrigeration, and flexibility and digitalization. The project is led by Prof. George Tsatsaronis and coordinated by Dr. George Kosmadakis, with a stated goal of supporting the transition to net-zero fossil fuels and climate neutrality by 2050.
