Ferme dEscoums is a citizen cooperative (SCIC) established in 2015 to support Guillaume Husson's organic livestock farming operation and develop renewable energy production in Nyer, Pyrénées-Orientales. The cooperative operates two structures: Escoums Énergies (formerly Ferme dEscoums) and Escoums Solaire, managing approximately 130 hectares of land. Key activities include raising gascon cattle under organic certification (since 2014) and operating rooftop photovoltaic installations on two farm buildings completed between 2016-2017. The cooperative is financed through participatory crowdfunding with 244 citizen members as of May 2025, having raised €889,000 toward a €900,000 target. The project combines agricultural preservation with energy transition goals.
