Finesce

Energy Storage

About

Finesce is a renewable energy company specializing in Energy Storage.

Finesce was a smart energy use case project funded by the European Union within the Seventh Framework Programme's Future Internet Public Private Partnership initiative. Operating from 2013 to 2015, it aimed to advance sustainable real-time smart energy services by building an open IT-infrastructure for developing app-based solutions in the energy sector. The project involved a consortium of leading energy and ICT operators, manufacturers, service providers, research organizations, and SMEs across Europe. Finesce conducted large-scale field trials at multiple trial sites across seven European countries, including Denmark, Germany, Italy, and Sweden. The project resulted in the Finesce Smart Energy Platform, built on FIWARE components, and contributed to harmonizing European-scale technology platforms and regulatory frameworks for the digital energy market. Work was continued by the Flexible Electrical Networks (FEN) consortium.
