Fit4Micro is a Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Action (Grant Agreement 101083536) running from October 2022 to September 2026. The project aims to design and demonstrate a highly efficient microCHCP hybrid heating system operating on renewable biofuels. The technology integrates a two-stage micro turbine with an intercooled regenerative reheat gas turbine cycle, humidification techniques, and flameless combustion for liquid biofuels. The project encompasses eight work packages covering turbine development, biofuel production, combustor optimization, thermodynamic cycle enhancement, system integration, life cycle assessment, policy and market analysis, and stakeholder engagement. Applications target zero-emission buildings through smart integration of renewables, energy efficiency, and electrification.
