Founded in 2017, Formosa 1 Wind Power is a renewable energy company headquartered in Miaoli County, Taiwan specializing in Wind.
Formosa 1 is an offshore wind farm joint venture between Orsted, JERA, and Seagull. Located approximately 2-6 kilometers off the coast of Miaoli County in northwestern Taiwan, it covers an area of 10.27km². The project comprises two phases: Phase 1 (8MW) achieved operational status in 2017 as a demonstration project; Phase 2 (120MW) was completed in 2019. The combined 128MW facility represents Taiwan's first utility-scale offshore wind installation.
