Forsite Development is a Charlotte-based industrial real estate redevelopment group. It acquires vacant or shuttered industrial facilities and coal-fired power plants, assumes their environmental liabilities, performs cleanup, and redevelops the sites. Its Forsite Renewables division, launched in 2019 as a strategic extension of the environmental risk transfer practice, develops solar and battery storage projects on redeveloped power plant and industrial sites, with a stated development pipeline above 5 GW across multiple states. Forsite Environmental Solutions handles CCR closure and risk transfer. In 2023, Galway Sustainable Capital acquired a controlling interest in Forsite Renewables.
