Futurewind partnered with Pronewable and SIF Holding to develop and host GE Renewable Energy's Haliade-X 12 MW prototype—the world's most powerful offshore wind turbine at the time. The company coordinated site preparation, installation, and testing of the 12 MW turbine at Maasvlakte in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The prototype features 107-meter blades and a 220-meter rotor diameter, with an annual energy yield of 46.3 GWh. Futurewind maintains extensive experience in Dutch wind energy legislation and regulatory policy, and oversaw a five-year testing phase and 15-year full-service operation and maintenance agreement with GE Renewable Energy.
