Genesis Biopartner is a Romanian renewable energy company specializing in biogas production from biodegradable organic waste. The company collects approximately 90,000 tonnes of food waste and organic residues annually from the food industry, HoReCa, retail, and agriculture sectors. These materials undergo anaerobic digestion in specialized fermentation facilities to produce biogas, which is converted into electricity and heat using high-efficiency cogeneration technology. The company operates two main biogas stations at Filipeștii de Pădure (Prahova) and Cordun (Neamț), with combined capacity of 5 MW electric and 4.8 MW thermal, equivalent to daily consumption for 15,000 households. A byproduct called digestate is recovered as organic fertilizer for agriculture. Genesis Biopartner holds ISCC EU and ISCC PLUS certifications and is pursuing Gold Standard carbon credit certification. The company emphasizes circular economy principles and supports Romania's renewable energy transition.
