Founded in 2022, GESEK is a non-profit headquartered in Haderslev, Denmark specializing in Wind, Solar, Hydrogen.
GESEK is Denmark's business lighthouse for green energy and sector coupling, established in Southern Jutland as a public-private collaborative platform. It brings together companies, municipalities, public authorities, and organizations to accelerate the green transformation of the energy sector. The initiative focuses on offshore wind development (part of the North Sea's 65 GW by 2030 and 165 GW by 2050 targets), solar energy, hydrogen and PtX production, energy storage, and integrated energy systems. GESEK received 105 million DKK in EU REACT funding in 2022 to support 13 test, demonstration, and innovation projects, and workforce development initiatives. The organization works on three core themes: innovation and knowledge, workforce and education, and commercialization of green technologies for export.
