About
GIGAGREEN is a private specializing in Energy Storage.
GIGAGREEN is a structured research initiative funded by the European Union (grant agreement 101069707) that proposes developing and scaling novel electrode and cell component manufacturing processes for lithium-ion batteries. The project follows a Design for Manufacturing approach aligned with Europe's strategic goal of becoming a global leader in the Li-ion battery value chain. GIGAGREEN focuses on sustainable and cost-efficient production by integrating synergies across recycling and production chains, developing green cell manufacturing processes with minimum environmental impact and energy consumption, improving cost-efficiency and safety, and enabling high-throughput technologies suitable for industry 4.0/5.0 gigafactories. The project aims to finalize with novel materials adapted to innovative dry and wet electrode processing techniques, accompanied by Design for Manufacturing guidelines and a data-driven Digital Twin for cathode quality simulation.
