Global Tech I Offshore Wind GmbH is a project company that owns and operates the 400 MW Global Tech I offshore wind farm in the German North Sea. The wind farm, with 80 turbines, is operated and maintained from its Hamburg headquarters, with an offshore substation and crews working on the platform in rotating shifts. The company handles generation through to marketing of the electricity, including direct marketing and power supply contracts, and is shareholder-backed by several German energy utilities and an investment company. Service and maintenance of the turbines is contracted to Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and, from 2026, to Wind Multiplikator powered by Semco Maritime. The company reports supplying electricity to around 450,000 households annually.
