Founded in 2024, H2FlowTrace is a government specializing in Hydrogen.

H2FlowTrace is a European research initiative funded by the European Union that advances hydrogen traceability and flow measurement standardization. The project focuses on establishing robust metrological infrastructure for accurate measurement of hydrogen in gas networks, with measurement uncertainties as low as 0.20% for small industrial meters and 0.30% for large industrial meters. Key objectives include primary calibrations of domestic gas meters with pure hydrogen up to 30 m³/h, calibrations of industrial meters up to 1000 m³/h at pressures up to 6.2 MPa, development of traceability transfer skids for hydrogen/natural gas blends, and demonstration of integrated European metrology infrastructure. The project involves calibration of Critical Flow Venturi Nozzles and collaboration with standards organizations including CEN/TC 237 and EURAMET.
