Key innovations include 30-micron-thick thin-film sensors for real-time temperature monitoring, self-healing mechanisms for cathodes, anodes, separators, and electrolytes, and a battery management system with digital twin platform. Funded with over €5.7 million under the Battery 2030 initiative to advance EU battery cell competitiveness and environmental sustainability.
