Founded in 2020, Heavenn is a co-op headquartered in Groningen, Netherlands specializing in Hydrogen.

Heavenn is a large-scale hydrogen valley initiative launched in January 2020, supported by a €20 million EU subsidy with €70-80 million public-private cofunding. Coordinated by New Energy Coalition, the programme integrates demo projects across six locations in Northern Netherlands (Eemshaven, Delfzijl, Zuidwending, Emmen, Hoogeveen, and Groningen). It demonstrates the coupling of electricity and gas infrastructures to decarbonise industry, power, transport, and heat, using abundant regional renewable energy sources including onshore and offshore wind. The initiative encompasses electrolyser deployment, hydrogen refueling stations, storage research, and transport applications, aiming to establish replicable business models for commercial H2 deployment across Europe.
