About

Founded in 2024, HI2valley is a co-op headquartered in Graz, Austria specializing in Hydrogen.

HI2valley is a flagship green hydrogen collaboration encompassing Carinthia, Styria, and Upper Austria. The consortium comprises 44 Austrian and international companies and institutions working across the entire hydrogen value chain—from production and storage to distribution and end-use applications. The project includes 18 pioneering sub-projects targeting decarbonization in steel, chemicals, cement, and other energy-intensive industries. Infrastructure includes hydrogen pipelines, tube trailer networks, hydrogen refueling stations, and industrial applications. The initiative is co-funded by the European Union and the Clean Hydrogen Partnership, with a planned electrolyser capacity of at least 101 MW and a target to produce and utilize over 10,000 tonnes of green hydrogen annually within six years.
