Originally founded in the 1960s as a pulpwood transport company, it evolved into a comprehensive stevedoring and cargo handling operation. The company operates 15,500 m² of indoor warehouse space and maintains all its own equipment including harbour cranes and stevedoring machinery. Core services include handling and storage of timber, steel products, and sawmill materials, with specialized expertise in steel bulk handling (300-1,000 tons/hour capacity). Since 2017, Hooli has expanded into project cargo handling and is now a leading port handler for wind energy projects, having processed 150 wind turbines in 2022 alone. The company is actively expanding into offshore wind energy operations and aims to transform the Port of Raahe into an onshore and offshore wind energy service hub.
