HyCentA

Founded in 2005, HyCentA is a limited company headquartered in Graz, Austria with approximately 51-200 employees specializing in Hydrogen, Energy Storage.

HyCentA, the Hydrogen Research Center Austria, is an independent research centre in Graz, located at the Technische Universität Graz. Founded in 2005, it is the only non-university research institution in Austria focused exclusively on green hydrogen technologies. Its work covers renewable hydrogen production via electrolysis and Power-to-X, hydrogen storage, fuel cells for mobility and energy, circularity and system optimisation. It operates test rigs, hydrogen refuelling infrastructure and gas analysis laboratories, and conducts contract and cooperative research with industry and research partners.
