HyMatters is a Dutch company developing a functional hydrogen production platform specifically designed for universities of applied sciences, research institutions, and educational programs. The Hydrogen Demonstrator Prototype is a 15kW PEM electrolyzer system sold as-is for hydrogen and sustainable energy education and research. The system operates safely at 40 bar outlet pressure with no built-in compressor storage, making it suitable for educational use. The platform supports grid management by producing hydrogen when grid voltage exceeds a configurable threshold, contributing to grid stability. The system includes a trailer-based, plug-and-play design for portability and deployment. HyMatters provides two weeks of intensive technical training and knowledge transfer with expert staff to ensure complete operational understanding. The system accommodates interchangeable electrolyzer stacks via 32A power connections, allowing flexibility for research and testing of different hydrogen technologies. The electrolyzer shows some degradation but remains functional for educational and research purposes.
