HyPowerGT is a renewable energy company specializing in Hydrogen.
HyPowerGT is a consortium-based research project supported by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership and co-funded by the European Union and Swiss Confederation. The project develops novel dry-low emission (DLE) combustion technology enabling gas turbines to burn any blend of natural gas and hydrogen up to pure H2, from startup with load-switching capability. The core innovation achieves low NOx emissions without using catalysts, diluents, or reducing thermodynamic efficiency. Technology development targets TRL 7 with retrofit-ability for existing natural gas and CHP applications. Project partners include Baker Hughes, SINTEF Energy Research, Snam, ETN Global, and others. Key activities include engine test campaigns, dissemination at international conferences (ASME Turbo Expo 2025, Mediterranean Combustion Symposium, ETN International Gas Turbine Conference), and consortium meetings advancing toward 2025 milestones.
