Founded in 2020, iClimaBuilt is a ngo headquartered in Athens, Greece specializing in Energy Storage.

iClimaBuilt is a 48-month, EU-funded research and innovation project bringing together 27 partners from 14 European countries. The project establishes an open-access ecosystem for developing, testing, and upscaling innovations in building envelope materials and technical systems. The ecosystem comprises 9 pilot lines for materials development, manufacturing, and system integration, supported by advanced characterization techniques, modelling and simulation software, and environmental assessment services. Key objectives include enabling 30% faster verification of materials and system performance, improving industrial process parameters by 20%, and supporting SMEs in scaling climate-resilient building technologies. The project integrates digitalisation, AI, and data analytics to optimise the innovation value chain from conception to commercialization, targeting the transition of building stock across Europe to nearly zero-energy buildings.
