Founded in 2024, INDHEAP is a ngo specializing in Solar, Energy Storage.
INDHEAP is a Horizon Europe Innovation Actions project focused on developing and demonstrating optimal solar systems for industrial heat and power applications. The project integrates solar thermal (ST) and photovoltaic (PV) technologies to address the heat and power needs of mid-temperature industrial processes up to 250°C. A core innovation is the flexible Thermal Energy Storage (e-TES) system boosted by electric heaters, enabling rational use of thermal and electrical solar renewable energy. The project demonstrates the technology at Technology Readiness Level 7 through a prototype installation at TotalEnergies' lubricants blending facility in Spain. INDHEAP aims to reduce industrial dependency on natural gas, optimize energy efficiency, and support Net Zero 2050 targets while showcasing scalability and replicability across South Europe and the MENA region.
