Founded in 2015, The Institute for European Energy and Climate Policy is a ngo headquartered in Amsterdam, Netherlands with approximately 50-200 employees specializing in Solar, Wind, Hydro.

The Institute for European Energy and Climate Policy is a non-profit, independent research organization registered as a Foundation in the Netherlands. Since 2015, it has worked on science-based climate change mitigation and adaptation, energy efficiency, and renewable energy policy. The organization employs an international interdisciplinary team of experts across multiple European countries generating and disseminating scientific knowledge through EU-funded projects. IEECP provides policymakers and decision-makers with independent expertise and research to support energy transition and sustainable futures. The institute engages stakeholders, evaluates policies, drafts policy syntheses and recommendations, analyzes data and statistics, develops tools and libraries, and delivers capacity-building and learning programs. It participates in technical assistance projects for the European Commission and other national public authorities, with particular expertise in energy poverty, energy efficiency, renewable energy communities, climate adaptation, and just transitions.
