About

Jalon-ce is a renewable energy company specializing in Solar.

JALON proposes a novel approach to energy communities that prioritizes solving local social needs and rural development. The project mobilizes 13 million euros to invest in photovoltaic facilities generating 23 GWh/year, avoiding 3,452 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually. Operating across 87 rural villages in Spain, JALON challenges traditional energy community approaches by positioning them as instruments of social innovation and local development. The project serves as a demonstrator for six other EU regions and targets 82 underdeveloped regions for replication of its methodology. JALON fosters collaboration between citizens, local authorities, and businesses to create legal and regulatory frameworks adapted to rural needs and facilitate the emergence of citizen-led renewable energy projects throughout Europe.
