AS Konesko was established in 1992 with Estonian private capital, originally providing winding services for electric motor stators from Finland. The company has expanded significantly since 2003 through acquisitions and new production facilities. Today, Konesko is Estonia's largest electric motor manufacturer, with operations spanning motor production, electrical components, and large-scale metal structures. The company operates four factories located in Koeru, Põltsamaa, and Türi-Alliku in Central Estonia. Konesko is majority-owned by Konecranes OY (49% stake as of 2013). The company holds certifications for quality (ISO 9001), environmental management (ISO 14001), and occupational health and safety (ISO 45001). Over 25% of production energy comes from solar panels and battery storage systems. The company is undergoing digital transformation and cybersecurity enhancement initiatives with EU support.
