Latvian Hydrogen Association was founded in 2005 to develop hydrogen economics in Latvia utilizing only local natural resources. The organization serves as a platform uniting scientists and business professionals working with renewable hydrogen technologies and materials. Its mission centers on advancing hydrogen as an energy carrier for energetics, transportation, and manufacturing industries with reduced environmental impact. The association actively promotes hydrogen technologies as solutions for sustainable energy across all economic sectors, emphasizing energy security, resource efficiency, and greenhouse gas emission reduction. It partners internationally with Hydrogen Europe and participates in regional initiatives including the HyAirport Project for hydrogen-powered aviation in the Baltic Sea Region.
