About

Malin Head Offshore Wind Farm is a renewable energy company headquartered in Dublin, Ireland specializing in Wind.

Malin Head Offshore Wind Farm is a large-scale renewable energy development located on the Malin Shelf in the Atlantic Ocean, approximately 32 km off the north coast of County Donegal. The project, developed by Source Galileo, aims to deliver up to 1,000 MW of clean offshore wind energy. When operational, it will generate sufficient electricity to meet the needs of over 850,000 households annually and offset over 1.5 million tonnes of harmful carbon emissions per year. The project supports Ireland's binding target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 51% by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. The proposed turbine array area covers approximately 265 sq.km, located entirely outside Ireland's 12 nautical mile foreshore limit. Average water depths of 60 m make the site suitable for fixed-bottom turbine foundation technology. The project includes environmental surveys, fishing liaison engagement, and a community benefit fund for local economic and social well-being.
