Founded in 2019, MC PV is a private headquartered in Veendam, Netherlands specializing in Solar.

MC PV was established in 2019 as a spin-off from Resilient Group by experts in solar technology, entrepreneurship, and digitalization in energy. The company is scaling up solar manufacturing in the European Union with a focus on silicon heterojunction (HJT) technology, which combines crystalline and amorphous silicon to achieve efficiencies up to 26% in mass production. MC PV's inaugural facility in Veendam, Netherlands, received approval from the Dutch Cabinet of Ministers in 2023 under the National Growth Fund programme as part of the SolarNL consortium. The project includes €412 million in state support through grants and loans. Production is planned to commence in 2026 with a 400MW pilot line, scaling to 4GW by 2028. Solar cells will be manufactured in the Netherlands, with modules produced in Spain and designed in Switzerland, ensuring 100% European-made supply chains. The company emphasizes sustainability, circular economy principles, and low-carbon production processes. MC PV is a signatory of the European Solar Charter and member of the European Solar Manufacturing Consortium (ESMC). The project is expected to create over 600 direct clean tech jobs initially, with plans for 500+ jobs at full capacity.
