About
Montana Solar Transportation is a renewable energy company specializing in Solar, Energy Storage.
The Montana Solar Powered Transportation Initiative is a roadmap and support program designed to help small and mid-sized urban communities plan investment decisions for sustainable electrification of the transportation sector. The initiative focuses on deploying solar photovoltaic systems and battery energy storage in conjunction with electric vehicle charging equipment. It engages communities at different development stages—from initial research through full deployment—and provides technical analysis, cost-benefit assessments, and policy guidance. The program worked with three Montana communities: Bozeman, Missoula, and Whitefish, each at different stages of renewable energy and EV market development. It addresses four primary use cases: public transit depot charging, on-route transit charging, light-duty fleet vehicles with workplace charging, and private vehicle charging at public locations.
