About

Multiplhy-project is a renewable energy company specializing in Hydrogen.

MULTIPLHY is a collaborative research initiative supported by the Fuel Cells and Hydrogen 2 Joint Undertaking under Horizon 2020. The project aims to install, integrate, and operate the world's first high-temperature electrolyser system at multi-megawatt scale in an industrial setting. The system, based on Sunfire solid oxide electrolysis technology, has a rated electrical connection of 3.5 MWel,AC,BOL and nominal power of 2.6 MWel,AC, producing approximately 670 Nm³/h of hydrogen. The electrolyser is deployed at Nesté's renewable products refinery in Rotterdam to generate hydrogen for refinery processes, with expected GHG emission reductions of 8,000 tonnes during minimum operation. The technology offers at least 20% higher electrical efficiency compared to low-temperature electrolysers, reducing operational costs and grid impact.
