NaTran R&I is a dedicated R&D center focused on transforming gas infrastructure and advancing renewable gas and hydrogen technologies. The organization operates three primary sites in France: Alfortville (with a unique European testing station for gas network materials up to 60 bar and 8,000 Nm³/h), Villeneuve-la-Garenne (Sibelius facility with 6,500 m² of laboratories), and Fos-sur-Mer (Jupiter 1000 Power-to-Gas demonstrator). The center houses 20 laboratories, 6 industrial workshops, and 2 testing pits, employing doctors, engineers, project managers, and technicians. Core competencies span gas quality, flow measurement, gas detection, material science, applied mathematics, and energy systems modeling. Jupiter 1000 converts renewable electricity to hydrogen via electrolyzers and synthesizes methane through a methanation reactor, injecting both into NaTran's gas networks.
