Founded in 2013, Navalt is a private headquartered in Kochi, India with approximately 100-200 employees specializing in Solar, Energy Storage.

Navalt is an eco-marine technology company focused on decarbonizing the maritime industry through solar-electric and hybrid vessel manufacturing. The company specializes in designing and building sustainable boats ranging from 6-passenger ferries to 150-passenger cruise vessels, fishing boats, defense vessels, and cargo transport systems. Navalt's flagship products include Aditya (India's first solar ferry, recipient of the 2020 Gustave Trouvé Award), Srav (world's best work boat 2022), Indra (India's largest solar-electric boat), and Barracuda (India's fastest electric boat). The company also manufactures proprietary systems including MANTA (modular battery storage up to 2500 kWh), ORCA (steering control system with IR Class type approval), and MAKO (electric outboard motor retrofit solution for 4-75 kW). With over 99 vessel-years of operational experience and a team of 100-130 naval architects and marine engineers, Navalt is developing larger vessels including a 60-ton electric tug, 1200-ton electric bulk carrier, and 1200-ton electric tanker under the Green Tug Transition program.
