The Nordic Battery Collaboration is a joint initiative between Innovation Norway, Business Sweden, and Business Finland, funded by Nordic Innovation. Established through a signed agreement in April 2021, it aims to position the Nordic region as home to Europe's leading sustainable, competitive, and innovative battery ecosystem by 2026. The collaboration leverages complementary strengths across the battery value chain in Norway, Sweden, and Finland, attracting foreign direct investment and facilitating strategic partnerships with OEMs and R&D centers. The initiative engages in international promotion, hosting networking events, matchmaking services, and trade delegations to key markets including the United States and Japan. It supports Nordic companies in developing competitive advantages and accessing global opportunities in the rapidly evolving battery industry.
