OeMAG Abwicklungsstelle für Ökostrom AG is the EAG-Förderabwicklungsstelle, appointed in May 2022 by the Austrian federal ministry responsible for climate protection following a tender procedure. It administers the awarding, settlement and control of subsidies under the Erneuerbaren-Ausbau-Gesetz (EAG) for renewable electricity and gas generation. Supported technologies include hydropower, wind, photovoltaics, biomass, biogas, renewable gas and hydrogen. Support comes as market premiums paid monthly over 20 years after commissioning, and as one-off investment grants. The company also runs the EAG funding portal, holds tenders for market premiums, and publishes funding calls and guidance.
