Omega-X is a Horizon Europe-funded initiative orchestrating a sovereign federated multi-vector energy data space based on open standards and aligned with Gaia-X principles. The project addresses the underutilization of valuable energy system data by creating infrastructure, data marketplace, and service marketplace enabling stakeholders to share data securely while maintaining privacy and sovereignty. It includes four use case families with pilots across Spain, Italy, Serbia, Portugal, and France/Belgium, focusing on renewable plant optimization, cross-border EV charging, local energy community performance, and flexibility services. The project operates the Omega-X Academy, an online training platform ensuring long-term accessibility of project learnings and supporting organizations across Europe in navigating the evolving energy landscape.
