Founded in 2020, One Climate World is a co-op headquartered in Netherlands specializing in Solar, Wind, Energy Storage.

One Climate World is an international cooperative established in 2020 with headquarters in the Netherlands. Founded by energy and development experts, church leaders, and students from Germany, India, Netherlands, Rwanda, South Africa, and Tanzania, the organization operates on a citizen-driven model where members contribute 1% of their net income toward renewable energy investments distributed fairly between the Global North and South. The cooperative aims to achieve climate neutrality, reduce CO2 emissions to zero by 2050, and alleviate energy poverty for 2 billion people while creating millions of new jobs. Members receive dividends on their investments and participate democratically in project allocation decisions. The organization has implemented pilot projects including solar home systems serving 200 families in off-grid Rwanda and operates through sister entities including One Climate Fund Southern Africa Ltd. and One Climate Solar Homes Rwanda GbR, in partnership with churches and rural development organizations.
