About

Perima 2 is a renewable energy company headquartered in Italy specializing in Wind.

Perima 2 is a research and development initiative that builds on the earlier Perima project, aimed at designing and testing the optimal lifting mechanism for telescopic wind turbine poles. The system enables small wind generators to be lowered to ground level when not in use or during low-wind periods, minimizing landscape impact and environmental disruption. The project integrates hydraulic systems, pulley mechanisms, and innovative structural engineering to create retractable wind installations suitable for sensitive environments, islands, and urban areas. Testing includes 1:10 scale prototypes and full-scale 1:1 hydraulic system validation at the University of Palermo's hydraulics laboratory.
