Promobiomasse is a ngo specializing in Biomass.

Promobiomasse is a transnational European project focused on promoting sustainable forest biomass as an energy source in southern European mountain regions. The project develops integrated models for sustainable forest biomass management in short-circuit supply chains applicable to the SUDOE territory (Spain, Portugal, and France). Key activities include: creating geoportals for forest biomass inventory (Sierra de Gata, Hurdes, Siberia-Cíjara in Extremadura); establishing networks of logistics parks for processing forest biomass residues; training programs on innovative forest extraction methods at agricultural training schools in Catalonia; quality analysis services for agroforestry biofuels; and regional workshops gathering local experts and institutional decision-makers. The project emphasizes sustainable forestry management, environmental protection, fire risk prevention, income generation for local populations, and biomass as a driver of energy transition.
