Founded in 2018, Proseu is a ngo specializing in Solar, Wind, Hydro.

Proseu is an EU-funded Horizon 2020 research project (grant agreement N764056) running from March 2018 to February 2021. It focuses on mainstreaming renewable energy prosumerism—enabling citizens and communities to actively produce, consume, and trade renewable energy—into the European Energy Union. The project brings together eleven partner organizations from seven European countries, including research institutes, universities, NGOs, and local government networks. Research activities encompass business model development, market regulation assessment, technological barrier identification, financial innovation, policy analysis, and community engagement. The project investigates incentive structures, governance frameworks, and institutional changes needed to enable large-scale adoption of prosumer initiatives while ensuring citizen participation, inclusiveness, and transparency.
